Christians in the United Kingdom took to the streets this week to boldly proclaim they're not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. They also prayed for their nation, which has become increasingly hostile to Christianity. Thousands of people all over Great Britain gathered for "Not Ashamed Day 2011" as well as the 2 Chronicles 7:14 Prayer Rally in London. Hundreds of people prayed and praised God in front of St. Paul's Cathedral. Likewise, these Christians made the same proclamation -- that the true hope for their country is turning back to Jesus. "We want to reach out to them in love and proclaim the hope and the truth that is found only and supremely in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ," Andrea Williams, chief executive officer of Christian Concern told CBN News. "The thing that stops me from taking crack cocaine every day is that Jesus Christ took out the root of addiction in my heart. He didn't just put something else in place, he took something out and then he put something else in," said former drug dealer Rob Joy. read more here
